The factory initially produced window panes, mirrors, and tableware before specializing in crystal production. The distinctive Baccarat crystal, known for its exceptional clarity and brilliance, was first created in the early 19th century after the factory mastered lead crystal manufacturing techniques.   

Throughout its history, Baccarat crystal has been associated with luxury and royalty, supplying pieces to European monarchs and aristocrats. The company introduced its iconic Harcourt glass in 1841, commissioned by King Louis-Philippe, which remains one of their most celebrated designs. Baccarat continued to innovate with new techniques and designs while maintaining traditional craftsmanship, establishing itself as a global symbol of French luxury and artistry in crystal production.
