Baccarat is a popular casino card game that is easy to learn and offers exciting gameplay. The objective is to bet on which hand, the Player or the Banker, will have a total closest to 9. You can also bet on a Tie.
The game begins with two cards dealt to both the Player and Banker hands. Card values are calculated as follows: Aces are worth 1 point, cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, and 10s and face cards （Jack, Queen, King） are worth 0 points. If the total of the hand exceeds 9, only the last digit of the total is considered. For example, a hand with a 7 and an 8 totals 15, but its value in Baccarat is 5. 
After the initial deal, a third card may be drawn for either hand based on specific rules. These rules are predetermined and automatic, so players do not need to make any decisions. You simply place your bet on the Player, Banker, or Tie before the cards are dealt.
Winning bets on the Player hand pay even money （1:1）. Winning bets on the Banker hand also pay even money, but a 5% commission is usually charged by the casino. Betting on a Tie typically pays 8:1 or 9:1, but it has a much higher house edge. |
